Ladies and Gentlemen,

EXCALIBUR PROJECT comes at a time when political and legislative trends are looking to Technology in connection with the Energy crisis and to changes which will influence the future of it’s citizens and in response to the geopolitical and environmental challenges which mankind faces and point to radical changes in the future.

We created EXCALIBUR PROJECT, to address the actual energy problem by organizing a CONGRESS ABOUT NEW AND ALTERNATIVE ENERGIES AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION, in the CONGRESS CENTER IN ESTORIL on a date to schedule, which will be the first of it's kind to be held in Portugal and will involve both National and International participants, and will have the following objectives:

- ANALYSIS OF ACTUAL ENERGY;
- APPRECIATION OF THE FACTORS OF IMPACT AND THE EFFICIENCY OF VARIOUS ENERGIES;
- TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE POSITION OF ENERGY IN THE FIELD OF ENERGIES AND RESOURCES;
- INNOVATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

In order to deal with and discuss this problem which impacts the whole world, the Congress will be carried out with the participation of both Public and Private Entities, and of all interested parties and invited guests both National and International who are well-known in the subject matter, in order to give a wide-range of insights and ideas.

- We feel that Portugal is the ideal location to hold a Congress of this type, due to it's geographic location.

In order for the Congress to take place, EXCALIBUR PROJECT proposes the following:

a) - Obtain the interest of an International Entity with the economic and financial capacity to promote the Congress;
b) - Obtain the interest and participation of a Municipality who will give logistic support to the Congress.
c) - The participation of Scientists and International Entities, who by participating will give their personal contribution to the Congress.
d) - Press coverage which will accompany and present the objectives and results of the Congress to the public.

- Parallel to this direct aspect, EXCALIBUR PROJECT has an indirect purpose to promote the image of Portugal to the World, give visiblity to Tourism and Promotion, and in this way obtain the participation of a large Hotel Group, which will allow debates and deals to be done along side with the Congress.

- In order to achieve this objective, EXCALIBUR PROJECT has formed an Organizing Committee which will deal with all the parallel events as well as the Congress.

- Because of this, these three days will be a space dedicated to reinforce:

- Awareness of the General Public of the importance of Technologies and Alternative Energies and Environmental Protection;

- Where diverse National and International Attendees will make their contribution to the debate relating to Energies - Eolic, Solar, Hydroelectric, Geothermal, Waves and Oceans; Biocombustibles and Biomass; Hydrogem battery; Plasma; Environment and others, so that we may have a better understanding of the implications of Technology and Alternative Energies.

- It is because we are worried about the future that EXCALIBUR PROJECT came about, and the reason we decided to hold this Congress.

- The participation of all of us has to begin in the present in order to have a better future.
